Queer dating, with room to be yourself
A Queer Dating App Built for Honest, Respectful Connections
Nua is a queer dating app for LGBTQ+ adults who want meaningful relationships, honest conversations, and more than one way to connect. Use the words that fit you—or leave room to figure them out.
One community. Many ways to name yourself.
Queer can be an identity, an umbrella, a way to resist boxes, or a word someone does not use at all. Nua makes space for LGBTQ+ people without treating any one label as a shortcut to who you are, who you love, or what kind of relationship you want.
Start with what someone shares—not what a label makes you guess.
Identity is not a shortcut
Gender, orientation, expression, and relationship style are different parts of a person.
Intentions deserve clarity
Share what kind of connection you are open to without assuming everyone wants the same destination.
Boundaries belong up front
Profile requests create a mutual path to private chat, while reporting and blocking stay within reach.
Questions deserve answers without assumptions.
Queer dating FAQ
What does queer dating mean?
Queer dating can describe dating among people whose identities, attractions, or relationships sit outside traditional straight and cisgender expectations. Queer is a broad, reclaimed term used by many people, but it is personal and not a label everyone in the LGBTQ+ community chooses for themselves.
Do I have to identify as queer to use Nua?
No. Nua welcomes LGBTQ+ and open-minded adults who respect the community and its boundaries. You decide which words fit you, and you should never apply a label to someone else that they have not chosen.
Is Nua inclusive of trans and nonbinary people?
Yes. Nua is designed around the idea that gender, orientation, dating intentions, and relationship preferences are different parts of a person. Trans and nonbinary people belong here, and harassment, deliberate misgendering, hate speech, or attempts to invalidate someone’s identity are not allowed.
Can I be clear about the kind of connection I want?
Yes. Nua helps adults share their dating intentions and who they are open to meeting. The goal is to make room for honest conversations without assuming that one identity always means one kind of relationship.
How does Nua protect my location?
Nua uses an approximate city or nearby area for discovery. Other members are not shown your precise coordinates, and the discovery experience is designed around fuzzy nearby areas rather than exact pins.
What safety tools does Nua provide?
Nua includes reporting and blocking, content moderation, profile and Secret review, and a mutual profile-request path before private chat. Moderators can remove content or restrict accounts that break the community rules.
Is Nua an adult-content or hookup app?
No. Nua is an open-minded dating app, not an adult-content service. Nudity, pornography, strongly sexual content, sexual services, harassment, and non-consensual content are not allowed.
How old do I need to be to join Nua?
Nua is only for adults aged 19 or older. Date of birth is collected during account creation so the age requirement can be enforced.
